Summer Camp 2001

Because much of the horse business was so unregulated, many people were taken advantage of, not given full services for their training dollar, or simply fell victim to the oftentimes cruel gossip and ridicule that goes on in the show world.
"I wanted to create a riding stable where people knew they would get a full day's work from their hard-earned dollar, and also that they would be treated with love, respect and professionalism.  These were traits I sought after in my years of working for and riding under many different trainers.  When I realized how hard these traits were to find, I started Integrity Stables to set a new precedence."
I started with six instructors working under me and scores of working students.  We taught primarily the English disciplines of Dressage and Hunter/Jumpers.  But I also fell in love with Reining and extreme trail riding challenges, and began to introduce different  avenues of Western horsemanship to our riders as well.
The Julian Lesson and Training business started with one student and eventually came to become  a full-time stable.
Integrity Stables strives to remain low volume in order to provide the highest quality we can to our clients all year long.  "I have a hard time narrowing down what we offer people, as I am a very adventurous person and love variety."  Therefore, we offer English riding lessons, jumping and dressage, Western, Extreme Trail Riding and Training, Gymkhana and Western Equitation.

I have tapered down on horse showing a bit while my three kids are young.  But we do try to target one show a month for our students.  We stay relatively local for now, as most of my students have very full lives in academics and other sports, as do my own children.

"I love all aspects of horse training!  I love the quiet, trustful relationship I can build with a horse working day to day introducing it to a variety of situations.
One word I would use to describe my training methods would be "complete."  I believe in having a horse that can do it all.  First, they all learn to trust, to relax and to yield.  I train every horse, regardless of breed, the principles of classical dressage.  Also, every horse works inside and outside the arena everyday.  They learn to copy our older, gentle older horses in all outside situations.  It is amazing the quick results we get from our older mares role modeling for our young or inexperienced horses.  Every new situation I train the horses into, I strive to make it as peaceful as possible.  It is an art and a science helping horses to form a positive experience with every new stimulus.  That is where Jennifer's 24 years of professional experience really pays off.  Also, her Cum Laude degree in the Psychology of Learning plays a huge part in knowing how to skillfully shape a horse and a human's mind and attitudes into successful ones.
